2023.6 SF WORKSHOP Review
From June 16 (Friday) to 17 (Saturday), 2023, we went on a short but enriching one-night, two-day workshop in Sokcho, Gangwon-do, with Seconds Factory!🕺🏼🕺🏼🎉
A total of 10 people split into two cars using a ladder game and left the company for Sokcho around 9:20 AM. 🚗💨!
📍We arrived at Seoraksan~
On the way, we stopped at a rest area and quickly bought some walnut cookies. Then, we continued on our journey!
Tip: Parking costs 6,000 won! Head all the way up and park around the 'Biseondae Meeting Plaza' area, which is just a 3-minute walk to the cable car!
For lunch, we enjoyed delicious food at Daraejeong, a restaurant with outdoor seating located at the 'Biseondae Meeting Plaza.' We savored a giant seafood pancake, vegetable bibimbap, and acorn jelly soup!With our stomachs full and spirits high, we set off to ride the famous Seoraksan cable car!

🚩 Towards the summit of Gwongeumseong! 🗻
Some were experiencing their first visit to Seoraksan and their first cable car ride, so there was a sense of excitement as we finally boarded the cable car! We got to enjoy views of nature from a perspective that we normally wouldn't see.
As soon as we got off the cable car, we were awestruck by the clear, blue sky and the lush forest scenery. We quickly set off towards the summit of Gwongeumseong, climbing the steep rocky cliffs at an elevation of 800 meters.
Climbing in the strong sunlight and heat of mid-June’s clear and sunny weather, we encountered some small mishaps that led to fun stories, but we were rewarded with views of the distant East Sea and Sokcho city.
The 10-minute hike passed quickly, and soon enough, we reached the summit of Gwongeumseong!
The stunning sights of sheer cliffs and dramatic landscapes made us forget the heat and exhaustion of the short hike. We couldn't help but be amazed by the breathtaking natural beauty.

🍹Like going to the Maldives for a mojito -✧
After conquering Gwongeumseong! Feeling a little worn out and slightly thirsty from the summer heat, we headed to our next destination : the bakery café called Sea Garden on Sokcho's Café Street.
The aroma of the sea greeted us from the café's exterior walls! The parking lot was spacious enough to accommodate hundreds of cars, filling us with anticipation as we entered the café.
Though the prices of bread and drinks were comparable to a full meal, we settled into a table on the sandy beach with the sea in front of us. We listened to the sound of waves crashing and even dipped our feet in the water, enjoying one of the most leisurely and delightful moments of rest.
📍Sokcho Cheongcho Su Mulhoe!
We had a great time at the café, enjoying a hearty dinner of refreshing mulhoe and squid sundae while gazing out at the open view of Cheongcho Lake. Afterward, we headed to the nearby E-Mart to buy some evening snacks and breakfast items for the next morning before returning to our accommodation. 🏡!
📍Arrived at Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano!!
After taking the cable car, hiking, enjoying dessert by the sea, eating a delicious dinner, and even stopping by the grocery store, we arrived at Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano! Once we got to the accommodation, we unpacked the groceries and our personal belongings and took a brief rest. Then, we gathered in one room to relax with some highballs and snacks to unwind from the day’s adventures.
Though the long journey from the morning could have been tiring, we were all united in our determination to win. The recreation, which started at 8 p.m., continued intensely and fiercely all the way until noon!! 🚒

Each round was intense and filled with moments that made our hearts race and left us unable to hold back laughter. We witnessed the fierce determination of our colleagues and their victorious cheers in a way we never saw in the office! Then, there was the final game that left everyone in shock: Mafia! (That's our little secret! 🔐🤭)
Even after the prepared games ended, the lingering excitement of the recreation led us to play additional games. Despite that, some people's conversations continued into the early morning hours without running out of things to talk about.🎵
It was a joyful and brief one-night, two-day trip. I want to thank everyone at Seconds Factory for all their hard work,
especially the two gentlemen who drove us to and from Sokcho for around five hours. Now, I'll take my leave!
