Thank you.
All job seekers preparing for employment likely have their own criteria for choosing a company. As someone new to the job market, I found it challenging to establish clear criteria, so I researched extensively to compile my thoughts.
After a month of studying hard and learning the work processes, I finally got my first operational task! Yay~! (And of course, my first paycheck too! Yay~~💫)
I had been a bit anxious, wondering if it was okay to receive a salary while only studying. But finally, on June 17th, I got the chance to start working and was so excited! ( ⑉ ̄ _ ̄⑉ ) ~ 🍚
My first task involved maintaining a brand website and creating content for a retailer mall. Our company handles not only website renewals and production but also newsletters, web content, and maintenance for clients. This is one of the regular tasks we get 🎵!
Even though I practiced a lot, doing it for real was new to me. I fumbled a bit but managed to complete the requested tasks and send the email response. I was so nervous, wondering if I was doing it right and if I missed anything! I still remember how nervous I was 💦💦

After finishing my first month and moving on from operations, I started working on some pages for a project that was ongoing before I joined the team! 😳 Finally, something other than operations...!!! The excitement of doing something new was short-lived, though, when I saw “gulp” in GitLab for the first time.

Why didn’t I know about this? 🙄🙄
Let me explain. The pages I made for my portfolio were mostly single HTML files with a few direct links, so I didn’t need a task runner. But for our company’s projects, which involve over 100 pages, we use gulp to automate tasks with template engines like Nunjucks, CSS preprocessors like Sass, and HTML validation tools like HTMLHint.
Understanding gulp perfectly before starting the task was impossible! Instead, I kept asking questions and taking notes as I worked, which helped me a lot! :-)
First, I briefly studied what gulp is, what tools we’re using, and the rules. Then it was time to focus on the “real tasks” 😏. This was a whole new level!
I started excitedly, thinking “markup is basic,” but I quickly realized that unlike personal projects where I could make my own rules, this time I had to follow specific guidelines

Even though I tried my best to follow these rules and checked more thoroughly than usual before handing it over to the Project Lead (PL), there were still many corrections 😂. It was a bit embarrassing to see all the small mistakes (like opening a closet and finding clothes you didn’t know were there).
But receiving feedback was incredibly helpful. The PL shared efficient methods I hadn’t considered, making the structure and code simpler. It was like private tutoring under the name of feedback—so valuable! 👍👍
Even though I wasn’t officially part of the project, working on it briefly made me realize my shortcomings and what additional studying I need. I learned a lot about the website building process and the necessary tasks. Thanks to this experience, I was able to handle the next project with fewer issues!
Curious about what this project was? By the time I’m writing this, it’s completed. 😏
