The internal quotation system 'adntools' was developed by a TFT (Task Force Team) composed of volunteers from the SF department, following an agile approach, and completed in just 15 days with a small team.
This internal project aimed to systemize the estimation process, which was previously done using Excel sheets. The emphasis was on developing a user interface (UI) that not only met the functional requirements of the estimation system but also served as a reference with significant impact. Without a single screen design, the team relied solely on 'empathy' for the purpose of the app, enabling close collaboration and rapid decision-making among team members. They swiftly prototyped complex calculations and requirements, resulting in a meaningful outcome.
Technically, the 'adntools' quotation system utilizes React and Ant Design libraries/frameworks for the frontend. To minimize development time, Firebase, a Backend as a Service (BaaS), was employed for authentication and database development.
